Specialty Engineering Solutions was built on a simple principle: every engineering challenge has a solution. Under the direction of Pavlos Hanna — an engineer with a background spanning mechanical, mechatronic, civil, aeronautical, and biomedical engineering — we partner with each client to understand exactly what they need, then we build it.

Based in Kings Park, Blacktown, we work with manufacturers, tradespeople, product developers, engineering firms, and everyday customers from non-engineering backgrounds across Western Sydney and beyond. From a single precision-machined part to a full custom design and build, or the replacement of a worn component on an existing machine — we deliver items that work, with quality that lasts. The first step is always understanding the underlying problem and scoping out the right solution.

Our workshop is equipped with CNC mills and lathes, plasma cutters, welders, sheet metal tools and more — giving us the in-house capability to handle virtually any metalworking challenge, start to finish. No outsourcing. No delays.

High-accuracy material removal for components that have to be right — every time.
Mill & Turn
Conventional and CNC milling and turning in steel, aluminium, stainless, plastics and graphite. Simple to complex, one-off to short production runs.
CNC Plasma Cutting
Fast, clean profiling of sheet metal and plate. Send us your DXF file — or bring a sketch and we'll draw it up.
Surface Grinding
Precision flat and profile grinding to tight tolerances and superior surface finish on hardened and unhardened components.
Tool & Cutter Grinding
Bring us your blunt end mills, drills, reamers, and custom tools — we'll recondition them back to cutting performance.

EDM Hole Drilling
Precise holes in hardened steel, carbide, and tough alloys using electrical discharge machining — no mechanical force, no distortion.
Broken Tap & Drill Removal
EDM disintegrates the broken tool out of the parent material — no damage to the surrounding metal, no scrapped workpiece.
Shrink & Press Fitting
Thermal hot or cold shrink fitting and hydraulic press fitting for bearings, bushes, gears, and interference-fit assemblies.

From structural steel to fine sheet work — built to last, finished to spec.
Metal Fabrication
Custom fabrication in steel, stainless, and aluminium. Frames, guards, jigs, fixtures, and assemblies. Drawing or sketch — we'll build it.
Welding
MIG and TIG welding across steel, stainless, and aluminium. Structural, aesthetic, repair, and modification work.
Sheet Metal Work
Cutting, rolling, bending, and forming for panels, enclosures, guards, and custom pressings. One-off and repeat work.

No Equipment?

We'll Build the Tool Too.

A walk-in customer needed custom semi-circular safety bars — partial hoop guards for an assembly line system — fast. The problem: our current sheet roller wasn't suited to thick bar rolling, and buying one commercially for the time frame this job required wasn't viable.

So we engineered one. Working from first principles, we designed and built a custom bar roller from scratch, then used it to produce the exact safety bars the client needed. Concept to completed delivery and installation in five days.

This is what it means to engineer exactly what you need — not just the part, but the process and tooling required to do it right.
